Everybody may be working for the weekend, but there's plenty of fun to be had during this particular work week as well. Here are a few Lower Haight events for your Tuesday to Thursday calendar.
Tonight, Batter By The Bay returns to Wing Wings (422 Haight) for a pop-up night of fish and chips. From 5pm to 9pm, swing by for Gill Fitzgerald's menu of Ireland-inspired delicacies. (We don't know exactly what'll be offered tonight, but see our post from the last edition for an idea of what to expect.)
Tomorrow night, wander over to 736 Divisadero for The Mill's 2-year anniversary party. There will be a talent show featuring Josey Baker (the baker) and other Mill staff, plus drinks, snacks, and live music. Until we get our own bakery here in the Lower Haight, the Mill is surely the next best thing. And thus, worth celebrating.
Finally, on Thursday night, skate on up to Fell and Fillmore for a roller disco night, presented by Groove Merchant Records. The event, dubbed the First Annual Roller Disco Party, will take place at the Church of 8 Wheels, in the former Sacred Heart Church, from 7pm to 10pm. Things will get especially funky with Groove Merchant's "Cool Chris" Veltri and Vinnie Esparza DJing all night. Entry costs $15, and includes skate rentals.
There you go — three local events to help you last until Friday and beyond.
