The public is invited to attend tonight's regular meeting of the San Francisco Police Commission, where the main topic on the agenda will be the redrawing of the Northern Station police district.
As we've mentioned recently, the boundaries of the Northern district, which stretches from Duboce Triangle to the Marina and includes much of the Lower Haight, are facing some possible adjustments. The main proposed change that affects our neighborhood is the extension of the western border, which currently lies at Steiner Street, three blocks west to Divisadero, as depicted in orange in the map below. That section of the Lower Haight currently falls under the domain of Park Station.

Northern Station Captain Greg McEachern will be on hand to discuss police activities in the Northern district, and the report assessing the district boundaries will be presented. Then the meeting will be opened to public comment.
The meeting begins at 6pm at Jones Methodist Church, 1975 Post St. (at Steiner).
