After eight years, popular Hayes Street eatery Bar Jules will close its doors.
Inside Scoop brings news of the closure, which will take effect after final service on Sunday, April 5th. Chef-owner Jessica Boncutter says that the restaurant is still successful and financially viable. However, Boncutter, who is currently eight months pregnant, said it was time for a change.
"I just wanted to pass it on to someone who will take care of it and respects the space,” Boncutter told Scoop. "I have a really positive feeling about the whole thing."
No word yet on what might be filling the space at 609 Hayes St., but it sounds like further news on that front may be forthcoming.
In the meantime, stop by Bar Jules this week to say goodbye to the neighborhood favorite.
