We're on the verge of another sunny, eventful weekend here in SoMa. Once today's Warriors Championship Parade and City Hall Centennial Celebration die down, you'll have your choice of two neighborhood block parties, both taking place this Saturday.
First up is the Yerba Buena Art Walk, for which the Yerba Buena Alliance has brought together ten of the neighborhood's leading art and culture venues. Start the day off at 1pm with a free concert in Yerba Buena Gardens, then wander down to the 2pm champagne reception at the Museum of the African Diaspora, or bring the kids to an afternoon of family-friendly activities at the Children's Creativity Museum. Other participating venues, including the Museum of Performance + Design and the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, will open their doors to Art Walkers at 3pm.
Right down the street, book-themed bar Novela is also throwing a block party, to celebrate its second anniversary. Grab a Dr. Seuss-themed cocktail and a bite from the Bacon Bacon truck, play a free round of skeeball, and dance the afternoon away.
