The SFPUC contractor this week completed the installation of the carrier pipeline under Spear Street from mid-block to Market Street—a full 180 linear feet. The construction followed last week’s successful breakthrough to connect the tunnel beneath Spear Street all the way to the Market Street Plaza area; the project should wrap up this fall or winter.
