There are a slew of new attractions in North Beach and the surrounding area to explore this weekend. For starters, the neighborhood has welcomed three new stores: artisan jewelry store Alchimia, at 450 Columbus Ave.; women's stretch and loungewear store Fife & Sons, at 1429 Grant Ave.; and men's casual-wear shop Jack's, at 1422 Grant Ave. A fourth, women's boutique Les Mechantes, is over in Fisherman's Wharf, and it's hosting an open house on Saturday.
If you get hungry, don't forget the new Chubby Noodle location that recently opened at 1310 Grant Ave. There's also a new free speech art exhibit at Harry Bridges Plaza, which will run from now through October.
Lastly, don't forget to check out Hoodline's comprehensive list of local North Beach community groups, in case you're looking to volunteer and get involved at the local level.
