On Wednesday, the San Francisco Historic Preservation Commission (HPC) voted unanimously in support of recommending the expansion of the Castro Theatre's landmark designation to the Board of Supervisors.
These lovely sidewalk benches are now being declared "unpermitted encroachments" on Mirabel Avenue in Bernal Heights, with the Public Works department now demanding $1,400 permits for benches that have been there as long as 20 years.
An immersive, virtual-reality exhibit in Richmond lets visitors experience a voyage to space – virtually, that is – and explore a replica of the International Space Station. The exhibit will be in the Richmond waterfront's historic Craneway Pavilion through March.
