The space at 477 Fulton has been a laundromat for years, but it has undergone significant changes recently. Gone are the out-of-date washers, broken coin dispensers and memories of the laundromat's smashed-in soda machine. On June 28th, Azul Eco Laundromat reopened its doors, having been transformed into the cleanest, most modern laundromat we've ever seen.

The changes are thanks to new ownership and management, who've installed brand-new Electrolux machines. Instead of coins, the machines now take laundry cards, which can be purchased with either cash or a credit card.

Laundry soap is sold out of a new vending machine, which also offers candy and chips. There's also free wi-fi and a back patio for catching some rays while your clothes spin.

The laundromat has also staffed up: unlike the previous incarnation, there's always someone on staff to assist customers during business hours.
Small machines cost $3 per load, and dryers are $0.25 for six minutes. For those who don't have the time to do their own laundry, Azul offers a wash-and-fold service for $0.95 per pound.

Azul Eco's official grand opening is this weekend, July 11th-12th, but the laundromat is already open for business from 8am-9pm daily, so swing by to do a load, grab some M&Ms, and check out the new space.
