Heading up , the Park Station police reported 11 vehicle burglaries, which continue to be by far the most prominent single type of crime reported in the district.
Atypically, the report also included six separate instances of vehicle thefts. The most remarkable one of these was an incident from 4 o'clock Friday morning, in which a 35-year-old man was attacked by two men who dragged him from his car, took the car, and drove off in it. So far there has been no announcement of the car's fate.
The Park Station has also promised increased monitoring for traffic violations in the district, by both motorists and cyclists, to help calm neighborhood traffic tensions (a clarification on the previous stance).

And next Sunday is a newly-inaugurated Adah's Stairway work day, on July 19th from 10 am to noon, to help keep the new stairs looking spiff. The crew is looking for volunteers to help plant over 100 new plants for the area.
Other than that, the weather is fine and the beer is cold. Enjoy some down time before half the neighborhood starts gearing up to depart for Burning Man.
