Update 10am: Police tell us the cyclist was taken away in an ambulance following an accident. Freeway access has been reopened. Tipster Marty F. tells us that the cyclist was hit by a black sedan and was "badly hurt." (8/12: the cyclist is expected to survive.) The driver remained on the scene.
