According to estimates by city officials and event organizers, the 2015 Outside Lands Music and Arts festival brought approximately 210,000 music fans to Golden Gate Park this past weekend. Today, SFPD released a recap of law enforcement activity at the event, which lasted from Friday to Sunday.

Officers issued 77 citations for trespassing at Outside Lands during the three-day festival. On Sunday at 4:31pm, a 24-year-old man was arrested after allegedly trying to enter through the south gate without a ticket. After evading OSL security, police say he knocked down an officer who then "hit his head on a cement block wrapped with a piece of metal" and briefly lost consciousness.

The suspect stumbled and attempted to escape "through a tunnel leading to the Polo Field," where he was then tackled by event security and taken into SFPD custody. Despite having his bell rung, the officer in question was treated and released later from the hospital.

Despite crowds that averaged 70,000 per day, SFPD issued only three citations for alcohol and one for public urination. In a controversial arrest on Saturday, police responded to a tip from Another Planet Entertainment, the company that stages the festival, and detained three subjects for illegally scalping non-transferable concert wristbands.

Around noon, officers arrived at the corner of 25th Avenue And Fulton Street and detained Xavier Amid Dphrrpaulezz of Oakland and John Michael Beckmeyer and Alistar Tristan Monroe of San Francisco. Dphrrpaulezz, who performs under the name Fantastic Negrito, was scheduled to perform that afternoon at Outside Lands, but missed his set because he was in SFPD custody.

According to Dphrrpaulezz, he was detained for three hours before police released him and the other two men who were held at Richmond Station. All were released and cited for with peddling without a permit. In a series of tweets, Dphrrpaulezz said an intern from his office tried to sell a wristband via Craigslist. Despite an outpouring of support from fans, APE canceled Fantastic Negrito's Outside Lands set. Negrito's star rose earlier this year when he won NPR's Tiny Desk Concert Contest.

Finally, turning to traffic enforcement, SFPD issued 26 speeding tickets and issued 46 citations for miscellaneous vehicle code violations. Eighteen people were cited for failing to yield to pedestrians in crosswalks, and 16 were cited for blocking intersections/crosswalks.
