It's been a big week in the Upper Haight, with some major traffic changes, a big change in Park Station's policy on bike traffic violations, and a recovery from last weekend's influx of concertgoers for Outside Lands. Here's what's in store for the weekend ahead.

Tonight at 8pm, Second Act is hosting a screening of Nerd Prom: Inside Washington’s Wildest Week. The new documentary is not about an actual prom, mind you; instead, it's an exposé about the White House Correspondents Association’s annual dinner. The film, put together by Politico reporter Patrick Gavin, has been garnering national attention for the attention it pays to the crazy, extravagant weeklong party thrown by the Correspondents Association. Gavin will be on-site for a Q&A. Tickets are $7 student/advance or $10 at the door.

Meanwhile, in Golden Gate Park, Friday Nights At The de Young is hosting an array of music-and-art themed events, from artists in residence to live music and artists' demonstrations. There will also be cocktails, of course. Entry to Friday Nights, which runs from 5-8:30 pm, is free for all events taking place in the museum's central atrium. (For more Golden Gate Park events, including info on Saturday's 420 Games, check out our Inner Sunset weekend events roundup.)

Milk Bar is hosting live music both tonight and Saturday night. The Friday show, at 9pm, will feature Broken Stems with The Go Ahead and Miss Lightning ($8). On Saturday at 9, The Queen Is Dead, Milk Bar's monthly Smiths-and-Morrissey tribute party, goes down ($3 advance/$6 door).

Tomorrow morning from noon-5pm, FTC Skate and SF Rec & Parks will be hosting its youth skateboard competition at the Waller Street skate park. Registration is now closed, but you're invited to watch and support the skaters.

If you're still in the market for some Burning Man accoutrements, the Playa Pop-Up outside Second Act will run from 11am to 7pm on Saturday, as well as on select days later this month.

And tomorrow and Sunday from 10-5pm and 10-4pm, respectively, the Dahlia Society of San Francisco is hosting its annual dahlia show at the Hall of Flowers. Dahlias, in case you were wondering, are the official flower of San Francisco.

Sunday night, you can head back over to Second Act for Geheimnisse einer Seele (Secrets of a Soul), a silent film in which "a scientist is tormented by an irrational fear of knives and the irresistible compulsion to murder his wife. An improv live score will come from musical group That Hideous Strength. (8pm, $5)

Have a great weekend!
