In case you missed our Castro coverage throughout the week, here's an update on the latest.

Over Labor Day weekend, a rally and protest was held at Harvey Milk Plaza in response to the raid at Rentboy.com, with hundreds supporting rights for sex workers.

There was another restaurant closure in the neighborhood: the short-lived Market Street gastropub Janchi, which turned over the space for the third time this year.

Don't forget the Duboce Park Tag Sale that's taking place this Saturday. You can still donate your unwanted items today and tomorrow, and stop by for some great deals this weekend.

In other business news in the neighborhood, Philz Coffee will be opening its new Castro location at the end of the month, Simply Brilliant Press is planning to move, The Rainbow Market & Deli is changing hands, and a mystery restaurant is up for sale.

Towards the end of the week, Park Station Captain John Sanford, Jr. held his monthly community meeting, where the discussion revolved around the recent rash of auto break-ins, traffic enforcement, and efforts to deal with homelessness around the neighborhood. (As of July, Park Station now includes Duboce Triangle, though the Castro remains part of Mission Station.)

In a step to create more housing in SF's crowded market, the Board of Supervisors approved Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) legislation this week. It allows landlords to create additional, separate units within their buildings out of unused spaces, such as storage rooms or garages.

Finally, we caught up with nine-year-old gay-owned comics spot Whatever Store to see how business is going at the unique shop.
