A 21-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries early Sunday morning after being hit and dragged by a semi truck towing two trailers at Fremont and Howard streets.

According to the SFPD, the victim was crossing the street at about 1am. He "tried to walk underneath the last trailer and was dragged down the street," according to the police report.

The victim was transferred to San Francisco General Hospital with critical injuries, including a crushed leg; the driver remained on the scene.
