In a well-known phenomenon, a commuter bus held up traffic at Haight and Ashbury around 11 AM today when its undercarriage caught on the pavement, grinding it to a halt in the intersection. In this case, the holdup affected the 33-Ashbury line, which is tethered to overhead power lines and can't go around the intersection.
