
Vehicle break-ins continue to lead the crime statistics in the Inner Sunset, but there were some other mayhem and misdemeanors to report in the neighborhood over the past week.
October 28th
At 6:28 am, officers from Taraval Station responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in front of an apartment building on the 120 block of 14th Avenue. After running a computer check on the car's occupants, it was determined that one of them had an outstanding warrant. Police arrested the individual at the scene.
On the 2900 block of 20th Avenue, a resident called police to report that decorative lights and flower pots were stolen from outside their home.
That evening at 8:51 pm, officers responded to a report of a stolen iPhone from a bar on the 4100 block of 19th Avenue.
October 29th
Police responded to an address near 2500 15th Ave. to investigate a report of fraud by trick at 8:10 am. Later that evening, Taraval Station officers investigated a theft from a vehicle near 2100 14th Ave., and a reported pickpocket near 2300 Irving St. at 6:13 pm.
October 31st
A hot prowl burglar crept into an occupied home on the 400 block of Lincoln Avenue just after midnight, stealing a television and a purse containing the victim's wallet and keys. According to the report, the suspect fled in an unknown direction with the items.
Later that day, around 4pm, three armed suspects allegedly entered a computer sales/repair store on the corner of Judah and 27th Ave., where they brandished guns and demanded victims hand over their personal property, as well as laptops and tablets.
The suspects fled on foot, but officers from Taraval Station used descriptions given by the victims to locate the suspects in a vehicle in the Tenderloin, where officers gave pursuit. While fleeing police, the suspects were involved in two rollover collisions before attempting to escape on foot. All three suspects were transported to the hospital for treatment, as were two citizens.
November 2nd
At 9:15 am, police investigated a theft from a vehicle parked on the 1400 block of 10th Avenue.
Later that afternoon at 3:19 pm, police responded to a reported theft on the 800 block of Irving Street; a suspect was cited for shoplifting.
