Tomorrow, November 8th, marks the 95th annual Veterans Day Parade, and instead of running from Market Street to Civic Center, it's being held at Fisherman's Wharf this year in an attempt to draw larger crowds.
As always, the parade, running from roughly 11am-12:30pm, will affect some transit routes as it traverses the route from the Embarcadero and North Point Street to Hyde and Jefferson streets at Aquatic Park.
The historic E-line and F-line streetcars won't run on the route from 9:30am-1pm. Instead, streetcars will turn at the Embarcadero, with shuttle buses running from Don Chee down the Embarcadero, turning onto Bay Street and ending at Beach and Taylor streets.
According to an SFMTA alert, no traffic will be allowed on North Point Street between Jefferson Street and the Embarcadero during the parade. Cross traffic may not be allowed. SFPD monitors will be stationed at all intersections on Jefferson Street, including Beach and Hyde, to help with traffic. Vehicles will be able to go down Hyde, make a right turn, and continue onto Leavenworth. After the parade units have passed and the street is cleaned, North Point will be re-opened for traffic.
As a result, the 8-Bayshore, 39-Coit and 47-Van Ness Muni buses won't serve their regular Fisherman's Wharf loops. Passengers can board these routes on North Point between Taylor and Mason.
