Redevelopment Of Market Street Funeral Home Gets Fast-TrackedRendering: Via Prado Group, Inc.

It's been a while since our last update on the proposed development for the current site of Sullivan's Funeral Home (2254 Market St.) The proposed LEED Platinum building would boast 44 apartments, two townhouses, and commercial space, all while retaining the funeral home's original facade; Sullivan's itself, however, will close.

Now, according to Socketsite, developers the Prado Group have been fast-tracked for review with the Planning Department, likely due to the building's eco-friendly design. (Nearby 2175 Market, from Forest City, is also LEED Platinum.) If it passes, the development, originally set for winter 2017 at the earliest, could go up sooner than expected. We'll update as we learn more.
