Ambiance Closing Haight Store For Renovations, Launching Downtown Pop-UpPhoto: Amy Stephenson/Hoodline

You may have noticed that the Ambiance location at 1458 Haight has been having a blow-out sale since the new year. That's because the store is closing for three months in order to complete a much-needed renovation of its space. While it's closed, it will operate out of a pop-up at the Westfield San Francisco Centre.

Donna O'Leary, co-owner and co-founder of Ambiance, told us that the store will likely remain closed through the first week of April.

The Haight store is Ambiance's original location, and also its biggest. With the renovations, O'Leary is looking forward to opening up the crowded sales floor and updating the space, to give it a similar feel to the Noe Valley and Cow Hollow stores.

"It will be easier to shop, and more spacious. It will also have a unique look, just for the famous Haight-Ashbury," she said.

In the meantime, Ambiance is readying its pop-up location at the Westfield mall, which will be located on the second floor, near Sephora. "We are excited about our mall location because we will be the only shop in there that is a San Francisco original, and not corporate," O'Leary said.

The pop-up shop will open this Saturday, December 9th, and Ambiance's Noe Valley, Inner Sunset, and Cow Hollow stores will all remain open as well.
