Comix Experience, Divisadero's longstanding comic book store, is hitting the ground running in the new year. Art shows, book signings, the graphic novel club, and a trivia night are keeping staff and fans busy, and in the next few weeks, the shop is hosting several events that may pique locals' interest.
Tomorrow evening, swing by 305 Divis for a comic trivia night. While basic comic book knowledge will help you rack up points, the night's questions will also circle around "nerdy pop culture," science, rock n' roll and art—and bringing your own booze could help lubricate the mind.
Single players are encouraged to show up even if they don't have a team— the shop will pair them up with other willing participants. The winning team will receive ample respect and gift certificates to the shop. Doors open at 8pm, and the whole shebang kicks off at 8:30.
