Each week, we'll feature an especially interesting event in the neighborhood based on the event submissions we get, and what we hear about while we're out on the beat. If you want to be considered for next week, please submit your event here.

It's not usually nice to catcall and growl at women in public, but at Bunny Pistol's GrindHouse Cabaret, it's not only tolerated, but encouraged. The "exotic evening of SF’s finest burlesque," held the third weekend of each month at the Shelton Theater, makes its 2016 debut this Friday and Saturday, with shows at 11:30pm both nights.

The cabaret's performers include Alotta BouttéLady SatanSzandora LaVey, and of course, Bunny Pistol herself. They have serious credentials: Pistol has performed worldwide at burlesque festivals, Boutté is also in Beach Blanket Babylon (and boasts a killer set of pipes), and Lady Satan won a silver medal and the "most fierce" award at Burlympics in 2013. And tell us, how many times have you seen a Satanic witch (LaVey) strip? So don't expect your garden-variety tassel twirling—this show is hot. Grab a cocktail, sit back, and start hooting and hollering. (Tickets are $25–$50.)
