This Saturday, January 2nd, a man, 42, was stabbed in the neck by an acquaintance at Ninth and Howard Streets.

According to police, the victim was walking northbound around 7pm when he encountered the suspect, a 39-year-old man with whom he was acquainted, walking southbound. Unprovoked, the suspect stabbed the victim in the neck with a knife, then fled northbound toward Ninth and Market.

The victim was transferred to the hospital with a life-threatening injury. The SFPD did not apprehend the suspect.
