Whether you embrace Valentine's Day or prefer to skip this Hallmark-iest of holidays altogether, you’ll be in good company in the Inner Sunset this weekend. There are plenty of events to love, Valentiney and otherwise.

For those seeking a romantic alternative to the city's packed restaurants, Golden Gate Park offers some Valentine's-themed tours. With magnolias in full bloom, the Botanical Garden provides a picturesque backdrop for a selfie with your sweetie. Book a spot on their Saturday "Meet Me Under the Magnolia" tour for an expert-led stroll that starts with sparkling wine and baked goods.

Tour company Museum Hack is also offering love-themed tours of the de Young. "All's Fair in Love + War" kicks off on Friday afternoon, or you can celebrate the ladies of the de Young on their Saturday "Galentine's Day" tour.

For a frugal alternative in this unseasonably warm weather, might we suggest a picnic at Stow Lake or Grand View Park (pictured above)?

If you agree with Circus Center that "Flowers are dumb" and "Valentine's has no purpose," you may want to join them Friday or Saturday for "Through With Love," the February edition of their monthly cabaret show. Through circus acts and humor, they'll explore the awkwardness of dating, the twisting turns of relationships, and the eccentricities of desire.

San Franpsycho is offering something we can likely all get behind this Valentine's Day: a sale. Visit their store through Sunday for 30 percent off all hats, tanks and Roark Revival clothing. While you're there, check out Sundays, which now boasts new cafe seating and coffee from Outer Sunset roaster, Andytown. Fans of Andytown's Snowy Plover may fall in love with Sundays' spin-off: the Snowy Float (Andytown espresso, Pellegrino, and Three Twins ice cream).

And don't forget to show the Inner Sunset's newest (and only) record store some love this weekend. Western Relics' grand opening party is tonight from 6pm-9pm, with beer by Anchor Brewing, vegan treats by Lazy Lady Baking Co., and of course, plenty of tunes.

As you navigate the neighborhood on Sunday, take note: The Kaiser Permanente half-marathon will make its way through Golden Gate Park on Sunday morning. For a complete list of road closures, including some inside the park, check out their map.

Additionally, work on the Sunset tunnel resumes this weekend, so expect shuttle buses to replace the N-Judah trains from Friday at 8pm through Monday at 3:30am.

Now, our suggestions for your Inner Sunset weekend.
