With a short week nearly halfway through, it's time again to think about the weekend that lies ahead.

Tonight, two transgender performers are flying in to help raise money for the Center for Sex & Culture with an evening of story-telling. To get to know one of tonight's stars — Scott Turner Schofield from The Bold and The Beautiful — before the show, read our story here or take a peek at this silly webisode he recently made with his fiancée.


Tomorrow is Third Thursday in Yerba Buena, meaning free admission to many of the neighborhood's museums and cultural institutions. Among the many attractions this month are a collaboration by the Cartoon Art Museum and American Bookbinders Museum for an evening of historical trivia and live sketching, and the Contemporary Jewish Museum's hosting of a live show by San Geronimo, an Americana band out of Marin.


Over on 11th Street, local drag star Heklina is hosting her annual Star Search Pageant this Saturday night at Oasis. For a taste of what's to come, here's a performance by last year's winner, Kylie Minono:
