The business shuffles along Divisadero have continued this month, with several key changes taking place. Here's a quick rundown of what's happening (and what's not) along the changing corridor, plus some local events to look forward to.

Italian restaurant Che Fico has yet to break ground on their location at 838 Divisadero, but owner David Nayfield told us that they're in the process of finishing permits with the Planning Department, so work may begin soon.

After 22 years in the neighborhood, Health Haven shut its doors for good last week, citing competition from neighboring Bi-Rite and Falletti Foods as the reason for a drop in business. Business owner Ted Nasser also owns the retail space, but no new tenant has been announced yet, and it may remain empty for a while.

WesBurger is hosting its final pop-up at Mojo tomorrow, ahead of Wes' restaurant opening in the Mission. On the menu will be "the Hot Wes," which has onion rings, queso, and pickled jalapeños.

Sightglass and Souvla are still several months out from opening, though workmen can be seen coming and going from both locations daily.

Work on Horsefeather, a cocktail bar opening in the former Ziryab/Tsk Tsk space, is wrapping up, with a grand opening expected to take place later this month. More news on that to come.

As a reminder, Indian Paradox opened its doors last week, offering wine and small bites in an intimate and casual setting. It's open 5pm to midnight Monday through Saturday, and 5pm to 10pm on Sundays.

And last but not least, Kava Lounge is now open after more than two years of construction. Swing by for a taste of the relaxant and let us know what you think.

Any empty retail spots or pending restaurants you're curious about? Let us know in the comments, and we'll see what we can dig up.

Business news aside, here are a few events around the neighborhood worth checking out this week and next:

If you have an event you'd like to add to our events calendar, you can submit it here for free. If approved, your event will appear on our new calendar and within the Hoodline news feed, which is seen by thousands of local readers every day.

If you submit, we may also choose to write about it or list it in the “Editor’s Pick” section in our weekly neighborhood roundups.
