Local boutique Dark Garden is hosting a unique workshop this coming Friday, for those who may be interested in corsets, but intimidated by the time-consuming process it takes to actually put one on. This is the inaugural class in the store's quarterly corset-training series. According to Dark Garden, "With a little bit of practice and a touch of dexterity you can absolutely put on your own corset and wrap yourself in an all day hug."
Dark Garden has sold lingerie, corsets and custom-designed outfits out of its Linden Alley location since 1997. The shop is frequented by such celebrities as Dita Von Teese, who with the help of Kim Kardashian, has pushed the centuries-old trend of corset-wearing back into the spotlight.
The event will take place at 5pm this Friday, March 4th at Dark Garden. If you can't make it this week, never fear—the corset shop will be holding additional workshops on lacing June 3rd, September 2nd, and December 2nd.
