Seeing a few holes in your calendar this weekend? Perfect! We have a few suggestions, starting with dancing yourself back in time tonight at not one, but two '90s nights in the neighborhood.
First, there's "Night at the Jewseum" at the Contemporary Jewish Museum, which is doing a tribute to Clueless, complete with a live ska band, a '90s DJ, fluffy feather pens and boas, and cocktails, of course. Then head down to Raven on Folsom Street to enjoy their weekly ode to the greats of 1999.
Come Saturday night, ArtSpan is hosting its annual Juried Art Auction at SOMArts. You can take home a few original pieces of art to fill your blank walls—the good vibes that come with supporting a local arts nonprofit are free with purchase.
Looking forward to next week, Thursday is the international Transgender Day Of Visibility. To celebrate the local transgender and gender nonconforming community, Trans: Thrive at API Wellness Center and the SF LGBT Center’s Trans Employment Program (TEEI) are hosting an evening full of performances, music, awards honoring community leaders and more at SOMArts.
Finally, something for the transit infrastructure buffs out there. If you didn't get a chance to hear from the Planning Department directly on their ongoing study of the possibility of relocating Caltrain's 4th & King railyard, extending the tracks, and removing a 1.2-mile portion of I-280, you may want to stop by the Potrero Hill Neighborhood House next Wednesday evening. From 6-8pm, Planning staff will present the results of the first phase of the study, outline the next steps and take questions.
Now, here are even more to-do's for the next few days.
