While another stormy weekend is just around the corner, you may not even notice the gloom thanks to the many events on tap around the neighborhood this weekend.

Morning people—or wanna-be morning people—can jumpstart the weekend at Daybreaker's latest party this Friday at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. There'll be DJs, dance performances, cold brew, yoga and more to get your blood pumping before sunrise.

That's just the beginning of a big weekend at YBCA. From 10am-3pm Saturday, the arts center is hosting a series of dance classes with seasoned professionals for just $0.50 a head.

If a little art is what you're after, we've got the details below on a few exhibitions launching, plus a panel tonight on the history of underground cinema in the Bay Area

For those looking for free educational fun, SoMa residents get free entry to the California Academy of Sciences all weekend. After exploring the new planetarium show, the science behind earthquakes and more, you can also get yourself a Pi-Day shirt (on sale for just $10 in-store) to wear on Monday.

Finally, while you're running around the neighborhood, you might get thirsty. Keep in mind that climate-conscious newcomer The Perennial just launched a special bar deal: Get one of two bar snacks and a paired cocktail "taster" for just $11 through the end of March.
