It's looking like a weekend of sunshine for the Tenderloin, and there are plenty of artistic events on tap. Here's what to expect.
As we mentioned last week, The Theater of Others is back at the Kelly Cullen Auditorium. This season's show is 'Cymbeline,' a romance that'll take you from one end of the emotional spectrum to the other. Whatever you've got to offer will get you in the door this weekend or next—you can even get paid $1 to watch the show next Thursday evening.
What's behind the costumed pony at 1117 Market Street, otherwise known as The Costume Shop at ACT? Find out by checking out their latest show, 'Deal With The Dragon,' in which one man and three characters tackle a host of demons.
This Saturday evening, Smash Gallery at Golden Gate and Leavenworth debuts its latest exhibition, A Show of Littles. The show will feature a slew of small, "surprising" works by a handful of artists.
Jumping ahead to mid-next week, local poet and housing rights activist Tony Robles is hosting a free reading, discussion and signing of his latest book, Cool Don't Live Here No More: A Letter to San Francisco, at the Main Public Library. The book, on sale at the event, is the San Francisco native's first collection of poems and short stories.
