Tomorrow's 165th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival in San Francisco—the largest such event west of the Mississippi—will showcase Irish culture. But be warned: It'll also reroute a number of Muni lines.
The festival runs from 10am–5pm at Civic Center Plaza, with the parade beginning at 11:30am at Second and Market streets and proceeding down Market to City Hall. Muni has posted an alert with all of the lines that'll be affected, including the 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 19, 21, 27, 30, 45, 30/45 shuttle to Caltrain, 38, 38 Rapid, and F-Market and Wharves. See the alert for all of the particulars.
The parade and festival will feature live performances and entertainment, arts and crafts exhibitors, food and beverage concessions, children’s rides and inflatables, and non-profit booths representing the Irish community. The event is rain or shine, so plan accordingly given the rainy forecast.
