Sikara & Co., an Austin-based jewelry company that had a colorful shop in the FiDi's 2 Embarcadero Center for the past five years, has closed and was moving out the last of its items today. But if you like internationally inspired products with a modern fusion feel, it's still selling its wares elsewhere.

Founder and creative director Mousumi Shaw, who started the company a decade ago, told us her lease had expired. She was paying month-to-month when the Embarcadero Center management asked her to leave. We'll keep you posted on what moves in.

Shaw is still selling her wares online and locally at Manika Jewelry, 645 Market St., and the Museum of the African Diaspora, 685 Mission St. The Austin headquarters is still open, too, and she's looking for "ambassadors" to host home parties. "People can either raise money and be a change maker or raise money for a cause, or earn jewelry or earn money for travel," she said. Email info [at] sikara [dot] com for details.
