The waters between Pier 39 and the cruise ship terminal at Pier 35 were the site of a dramatic scene this morning, as rescue divers worked to save an elderly woman whom they say jumped into the water.

According to the Chronicle, the Fire Department dispatched its dive team around 10:30am, and they were able to pull the woman from the water around 11am, performing CPR on her on the dock before she was transported to SF General Hospital. A spokesman for the Fire Department could not comment on the woman's condition.
