If you've passed Haight & Cole this morning, you might have noticed a pile of sleepy puppies hanging out under a purple afghan.

According to their owner, who was feeding them dog food out of a Bundt pan in between nap times, the pups are four weeks and three days old. They're bloodhound-shepherd mixes, he said, and though they're not for sale or trade, "I'll be gifting them to my friends," their owner said.

The puppies'  mother, a bloodhound, was taking a break nearby between bouts of nursing.
