Almost unbelievably, it's the weekend again. And while the diamond in the royal tiara is obviously Record Store Day this Saturday, there's a whole host of stuff going on for the commercially disinclined, and for those looking to supplement their record store jaunts and that accidental bar crawl that happens between shops on Record Store Day. (See you there.)
The goodies in store include the return of the NOW! Festival, whose free, community-oriented events range from figure-drawing classes to a clothing swap to a marching band parade. And that's just Saturday's lineup.
The environmentally inclined will want to consider lending a hand at the community clean team event in Golden Gate Park, to help spruce up one of the city's biggest natural treasures.
And don't forget that 4/20 is next week—yes, it's that soon—so get your jollies in this weekend before the circus comes to town. (More on that, with traffic adjustments and other details, on Monday.)
Here's a smattering of all the week's happenings in the Upper Haight for your perusal. Need more? Sneak over to our full list of events around the city right here, where you can also add your own for future inclusion.
