The Golden State Warriors evened the score against the Oklahoma City Thunder last night, and sports fans may be already plotting where to watch future games. Luckily, the Inner Sunset has a number of sports bars where Dubs fans can exchange their joys and sorrows with like-minded souls.
On Sunday, May 22nd and Tuesday, May 24th, local sports bars will greet Warriors fans with wide-open arms. Many watering holes are offering game-day drink specials, and most won't mind if you bring your own grub.
With several big screens, Blackthorn Tavern (834 Irving) is a familiar destination for those who enjoy balancing sports' adrenaline highs with a little ethanol. At The Mucky Duck (1315 9th Ave.), bartenders have been pouring well drink specials during Warriors games.

Yancy's Saloon (734 Irving) isn't a pure sports bar, but that doesn't stop the owners from tuning in. Fireside Bar (603 Irving) has a more laid-back vibe than many of the other bars nearby, but you'll still find customers cheering when the Warriors make a 3-pointer. For those who prefer their Curry with a Mexican flavor, The Taco Shop At Underdogs (1824 Irving) has familiar dishes, plus a full bar.
Finally, with a relatively inexpensive drink selection and bar-friendly eats like popcorn chicken and sliders, The Corner Spot (1368 Irving) can be your home away from home until the Warriors win or lose this thing.
The non-basketball inclined will find plenty to do this weekend, too: a Sunday triple-header of the Bay Area Vintage Base Ball League, a low-water landscaping class at Garden for the Environment, and author events at Green Apple Books on the Park and Bookshop West Portal.
