With Memorial Day in the rearview mirror, summer is practically upon us. Warm days in the Inner Sunset are meant to be enjoyed, so we've found several events that will take you out of doors and into the sun.
The home opener for the San Francisco Football Club is this Saturday at 3pm, against the Las Vegas Mobsters. The supporter-owned SFFC plays in the Premier Development League, which has 67 teams across the US and Canada.
The Bay Area Vintage Base Ball League will also play this weekend, on Sunday at Noon at Big Rec. Fans can watch a doubleheader using equipment, rules and uniforms from 1886: Pelicans vs. Sea Lions, followed by Dublin Aces vs. SF Barbary Coast.
Next Wednesday, reserve your spot for an Environmental Stewardship workshop at Sutro Nursery. Volunteers will have a chance to sow seeds, perform transplants, tend to the demonstration gardens, or plant out on the mountain, depending on the needs of the day.
