A man suffered minor injuries last night after being lit on fire while on the 1200 block of Polk Street.

According to police, the 37-year-old victim was approached at midnight by a late-model, light-colored SUV. An unidentified suspect then doused the victim with lighter fluid and lit his shirt on fire.

The suspect fled southbound on Polk Street and has not been arrested.

The victim was transferred to the hospital with burns to his upper torso.
