With a long weekend up ahead, Outer Sunset residents have their share of fun outdoor events  to enjoy leading up to Fourth of July.

If you're still in town, the San Francisco Zoo is holding a family-friendly weekend of events, including a BBQ and an appearance from Clifford, the friendly red dog. Accidentally patriotic animals—those who are naturally red, white, or blue—will be the stars of Red, White, and Zoo.

Founded by rappers Del the Funky Homosapien and Casual, Oakland's own Hieroglyphics is dropping jazzy beats at Stern Grove Festival on Sunday. The underground hip-hop collective has deep roots in the Bay Area, with many members first getting to know each other in high school. The crowds came out in droves for Del the Funky Homosapien's previous appearances at the Grove, so be sure to snag your spot early.

For the rest of the week, get in touch with your crafty side at the local libraries and 3 Fish Studios, with origami, button-making, and collage classes available.

Here are all the events coming up this week in the Outer Sunset. For more fun around the city, check out our full events calendar at hoodline.com/events. If you have an event you'd like to add to our calendar, you can submit it here for free.
