It was the second cliff rescue of the day for the SFFD, who also undertook a rescue off of Fort Funston.
Neither the victim at Fort Funston nor at Cliff House sustained injuries before or during the rescue.
The SFFD recommends that hikers stay on marked trails and boundaries, especially in the fragile Land's End/Ocean Beach cliff area.
In 2014, a 26-year-old woman died after falling off the Land's End Coast Trail. Her companion, a 27-year-old man, was rescued.
