Lower Haight Summer Art Walk Happening This FridayPhoto: Christina B Castro/Flickr

Despite the 20mph winds, the thick fog and the daytime highs of 60 degrees, it is actually summer in San Francisco. If you need a reason to celebrate, head down to the Lower Haight this Friday for the neighborhood's summertime Art Walk festivities.

Over 50 Lower Haight businesses will be participating in this month's Art Walk, ranging from The Grind to Upper Playground, Kate's Kitchen to Glass Key Photo. The whole shebang kicks off at 6pm, and runs along Haight between Scott and Webster streets.

"Expect art trucks, live music, food specials and a different perspective of the neighborhood," says LoHaMNA, the neighborhood group organizing the event. "We encourage all to participate and join in to make it what we'd all like to see!"

Keep an eye on the Walk's Facebook page to stay abreast of the happenings, and we'll see you out there Friday night.
