If you aren't busy chasing Pokémon like so many of your neighbors in San Francisco, you can head out into the community for fun events. You might even see some real Pokémon: animals!

On Friday, kids can play with adorable puppies courtesy of SmartyPup, a new puppy school that's recently opened up in the Outer Sunset/Parkside neighborhood. Not only will "puppy time" allow kids to meet cute dogs, it'll also help the puppies socialize with other dogs and their humans.

Saturday's highlight is the San Francisco Zoo's popular March of the Penguins, an event that will see Magellanic penguin chicks waddle through the zoo to their new home on Penguin Island. The festivities kick off at 10:15am on Saturday.

And on Sunday, the San Francisco Ballet performs classics and more from their current repertory at Stern Grove. This is the ballet's only summertime performance in the Bay Area, so if you're a fan, this is your chance to catch America's first national ballet company.

Here are all the events coming up this week in the Outer Sunset. For more fun around the city, check out our full events calendar at hoodline.com/events. If you have an event you'd like to add to our calendar, you can submit it here for free.
