On Monday, July 18th, SFPD Central Station officers arrested a trio of men who are accused of at least four robberies of necklaces in Chinatown. According to SFPD, the robbers had been approaching men and women in the neighborhood since early June, violently ripping gold chains from their necks before fleeing in an SUV.

The three suspects arrested this week are Byron Birchett, 18; Marc Dorsey, 19; and Razzaaq Manney, 20, all of Oakland. They were arrested around 11:36pm on Monday, when police spotted the suspected SUV on Jackson Street between Grant and Stockton, and shortly thereafter received a report of a necklace theft just up the block on Stockton.

When officers arrived, bystanders had managed to corral one of the suspects, who they said had snatched the necklace of a female victim. Another suspect, who had fled the scene, was found in the area and arrested. The third suspect was arrested after further investigation

The three suspects have been booked into San Francisco County Jail for a total of four different robberies and other various charges.
