Around 10:15am today, the body of a man in his 30s was found at the busy Westfield San Francisco Centre mall at 865 Market Street, reports Hoodline media partner ABC7.
Medical examiners have ruled that the death was a homicide, and police are now investigating the case.
More details about the victim and the nature of the crime have yet to be made available from SFPD.
In a statement to KRON4, Westfield management says it's cooperating with the police investigation, focused on the eastern Jessie Street entrance of the mall.
The mall remains open for business.
