Overcast skies will continue for the next week of this cold summer, but residents will have lots of activities to choose from, both indoors and outdoors.

This Saturday marks Wild Cat Weekend at the San Francisco Zoo, a celebration of big cats. Activities include a lion-roaring contest, lectures, face-painting, and of course, watching the big cats themselves.

On Sunday morning, you can help clean up Ocean Beach with the Surfrider Foundation. And as the Stern Grove Festival begins to close out its final two weeks, enjoy West African soul with a concert celebrating the music of funk pioneer William Onyeabor.

Tuesday is the monthly Taraval Station community meeting, where residents can share their concerns about crime and safety. This community meeting will also include an appearance by Neighborhood Prosecutor Archie Wong.

Here are all the events coming up this week in the Outer Sunset. For more fun around the city, check out our full events calendar at hoodline.com/events. If you have an event you'd like to add to our calendar, you can submit it here for free.
