Over the last 15 years Boston has produced more championship teams than just about anywhere. Not only that, but it’s home to the oldest ballpark in the entire country. If you’re looking to catch a glimpse of some baseball royalty or a towering linebacker, here are the places to looks.

1. Red Sox
Unfortunately, if you’re looking to catch a glimpse of Big Papi or most of the other Red Sox stars, you’ve got to head to the Brookline Hills a bit out of the city. If you’re looking to catch some of the up and comers or whichever team is in town visiting Fenway, camp out around the Hotel Buckminster. This hotel has been hosting players for decades, so don’t expect to be able to hang around without a good reason. Visit: 645 Beacon St.

2. Patriots
Since the Patriots play out in wooded Foxborough, their players are few and far between in Boston. Fortunately their biggest star, Tom Brady, does actually live in Boston for the football season. Unfortunately, him and his wife, supermodel Gisele Bundchen, lead a predictably international life the rest of the year. Whether they’re at their Los Angeles home or traveling the world, it’s hard to count on a glimpse of the Patriots’ golden boy around Boston.

3. Celtics
Most Celtics players make their homes near Waltham, the town where their practice facility is located. The area isn’t just home to today’s stars, as many players from the ‘70s and ‘80s still camp out in the Boston suburbs.

4. Bruins
Since the Bruins practice out of the city, you’re much more likely to catch a member of the black and gold out on the town than players from other sports. They tend to live in the North End, a quick trip away from the TD Garden where they play their home games. As the Seaport District has become more developed, it has started attracting a lot of luxury development, making it a good place to keep a look out for some brawny hockey players.
