An Amber Alert was issued this morning for 11-month-old William Brown. Described by police as a black male with brown eyes and hair, Brown was abducted from an undisclosed location in San Francisco, and was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt and gray pajamas with sharks on them.

The suspect in the case is 44-year-old Phoebe Haynes, a black woman with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black jacket, a skirt, and boots, and driving a white 2004 Acura TL (license plate unknown) with a possible black front bumper. Anyone who sees Brown, Haynes, or the vehicle is asked to call 911.

The alert also applies to San Mateo, Santa Clara, Contra Costa, Marin, Solano, and Alameda counties. We'll keep you posted with any updates in the case.

Update, 11:18am: According to ABC7, Haynes is the boy's grandmother. She allegedly abducted him while his mother was inside of a store.

Update, 2:55pm: The Amber Alert has been discontinued, as Haynes and Brown were found in Redwood City this afternoon. According to the SF District Attorney's office, a woman who had seen the Amber Alert spotted the grandmother and grandson at a liquor store in San Mateo and called 911.

Redwood City police took Haynes into custody at a Big Lots, and she will be returned to San Francisco. Brown was examined by medical professionals and found to be safe.
