Fall is in the air, and that means plenty of local festivals ... and for the most forward-thinking among us, opportunities to shop local ahead of the coming holiday season.
This weekend in Hayes Valley, it's the return of Urban Air Market, the city's largest outdoor showcase of local designers and artisans. The biannual festival is swinging back around after a jam-packed event up in Portland, and that means over 130 local vendors, providing everything from apparel and accessories to home goods and art.

The free event will also feature food trucks, an interactive mural project from ArtSpan, tunes from local musicians, and, as with this spring's installment, the opportunity to lounge around in hammocks provided by BakPocket Products.

The weather report calls for sunshine, so pack a tote bag or two and browse the goods from vendors such as Ana Apple, Caíques, Scrappy Metal Design, Lady Alamo and many more, from 11am to 6pm.
