Where To Watch The Presidential Debate In San FranciscoPhotos: Gage Skidmore/Flickr

It's happening.

After months on the campaign trail, it's finally time for presidential nominees Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump to square off face-to-face in the first of three televised debates set to take place this fall.

The fun (?) kicks off at 6pm on Monday, Sept. 26th, when moderator Lester Holt of NBC Nightly News will lead the candidates through his choice of debate topics: "America’s Direction," "Achieving Prosperity" and "Securing America."

The debate will show on variety of network and cable news channels, and there will be plenty of ways to watch online, as well. But if you'd like rub shoulders with your fellow San Franciscans, perhaps with a drink in hand, there are a host of watch parties planned for the occasion, with screenings planned for barrooms, outdoor food parks, and at least one neighborhood movie house.

Read on for our rundown of your watch party options, and if you know of one we've missed, let us know in the comments. (Update: And check out this handy map of the venues, from reader Brennan.)
