The SFPD has shut down Market Street at O'Farrell Street, between Third and Fourth streets, while the Bomb Squad investigates a suspicious package. Locals are encouraged to avoid the area, and nearby businesses have been asked to shelter in place.

Update, 1:45pm: The SFPD reports on Twitter that the suspicious package has been cleared, the shelter-in-place order has been lifted and Market Street is now reopening.
