It's the last weekend before national, state, and local elections. If you aren't spending your weekend reading your voter guide, educating yourself on the issues, and figuring out your ballot for Tuesday's election, there are some great events for Outer Sunset residents to enjoy in the sun over the next few days.
On Saturday, the new Lawton Tap Room opens, with drink specials, raffles, and more. Lawton Trading Post was recently sold to Bayview's Seven Stills, and this weekend offers the community a first look into their new digs.
Saturday also sees the opening of a new Shared Schoolyard playground at A.P. Giannini Middle School, with an appearance by Supervisor Mark Farrell, a ribbon-cutting ceremony, performances from the Sunset Academy of Dance and the San Francisco Youth Chorus, and even a free lunch. And while you're there, help out in the community garden!
On Sunday, head over to community yoga at Playland at 43rd Avenue. It'll be just what residents need before heading into election madness this following week.
Here are all the events coming up this week in the Outer Sunset. For more fun around the city, check out our full events calendar at hoodline.com/events. If you have an event you'd like to add to our calendar, you can submit it here for free.
